What must we remember in the midst of testing and temptation?

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. -James 1:16-18, NLT

What must we remember in the midst of times of testing and temptation? Well, verses 13-15 make it clear there are many things to keep in mind, with verses 16-18 serving as an exclamation point!

It’s as though the Holy Spirit wants this idea to be without question: No matter what is happening in our lives, our unchanging Father’s desire is to bless us. Just in case we ever doubt God’s desire to bless us, remember this: He CHOSE to give us birth by giving us his true word!

Mmmm… That’ good news, isn’t it?
